My ring video doorbell 2 is buzzing non stop after working well for 6 months.
I have two ring pro video doorbells connected to a mechanical chime.
I replaced the doorbell chime with a heath zenith 2735 from the approved list same issue.
I started by using the 16v 10va transformer that came with the chime.
My doorbell 2 wired to a byron 776 started buzzing this morning out of the blue emailed ring and finally rang them as the delay to responds to my email was too long spoke to a guy in usa who stated that the chime was at fault and i should use a ring recommended one i explained that it was he didnt beleive me and sent me a link of approved door bells funny enough the byron 776 was on the.
I then replaced the transformer with a new 16v 30va transformer recommended for ring same issue.
1 check to make sure that you installed their module included with the doorbell properly inside of your mechanical chime.
But then one of the ring pro s started going offline due to low voltage.
That worked successfully for a couple of weeks.
Problems can arise however when a doorbell mechanism draws so much power that there s not enough left over to power your ring video doorbell pro.
It is when you are tying them in with your original wired mechanical chime that this seems to be pop up a lot.
The simplest way to identify which type or doorbell chime you have is to listen to the sound it makes.
Unfortunately the ring video doorbell is not compatible with wireless door chimes or any chime intercom system using a dc transformer.
