Remove Door Panel Legacy 2012

There are snap retainers under the door panel that hold it in place to the door frame.

Disconnect the small plastic connector clips holding the door panel in place by pulling the door panel straight out using 1 swift motion. The clips will unsnap and the panel will come right off. Pry against the metal portion of the door until you feel the fasteners pop. Move the tool towards the hinge area and repeat while holding the loose portion away from the door.

Press the release tab on the grey plastic electrical connector and pull it straight out of the socket on the bottom of the switch panel. Free shipping on many items. Support the lower trim panel by hand near the glass. Use the trim panel tool as your pry device. Pull out on the bottom of the trim panel right in the middle to release the bottom retainers. Use a small screw driver or trim removal tool and detach pop off any trim pieces above the door panel.

Set the plastic door panel aside in a safe place. Begin to pry the door panel away from the frame starting at the bottom and working your way up each side. The oem door speaker is held in place to the frame by four torx t20 star bit screws. Pull the door panel straight out with your hands to remove it.

Lower the trim panel from the liftgate.
